MEDIABALAP.com (Jakarta) – It’s only one month until the FIA World Endurance Championship returns to Japan! The penultimate round of this year’s WEC will take place from 8-10 September.
The famous Fuji Speedway will once again host the Japanese WEC round and is a firm favourite with drivers and fans alike due to the circuit’s rich history and the fact it is located at the foot of the iconic Mount Fuji. The track was rebuilt in 2005 and is known for its fast layout including a 1.5km start/finish straight. It is also the shortest circuit on the WEC calendar at 4.563km.
Fuji is the home track of reigning FIA WEC World Champions, Toyota Gazoo Racing, who will be eager to win on home soil to keep Ferrari behind in the in the all-important FIA Hypercar World Endurance Manufacturers’ Championship.
